By incorporating top-of-the-line materials like GORE-TEX and Vibram with a weight-saving platform, we made our tough, versatile work boot feel like the kind of boot you want to put on at the end of a long day. This new last is designed to cup your heel for a secure fit while offering a little more room in the toe box to accommodate feet that are carrying heavy loads. It also comes with a dual-density EVA midsole for extra shock absorption and comfort. The oil- and slip-resistant outsole has a low profile 90-degree heel making it versatile enough for indoor and outdoor work. For really tough jobs it has an abrasion-resistant heel cap, an all-leather upper, and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX liner.

Only the Best Components

Jobsites chew up and spit out cheap components. That’s why we didn’t cut any corners when crafting the Vicious. The upper is made from full-grain leather, and every hide is rigorously tested to ensure it’s up to the Danner standard. To ward off cold and wet, we lined the boot with 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX. A slip-resistant Vibram® outsole completes the package.

Stability in All Conditions

We diverged from convention to create the Vicious and, in the process, created a work boot that’s right at home off the beaten path. We opted for a 90-degree heel, with more lugs and grooves to hold firm on uneven surfaces commonly found in outdoor work environments, when climbing in and out of steep equipment and while using certain tools.

Built with non-conductive soles to help protect against electrical shock in dry conditions. Meets ASTM F2892 safety standard for plain toe (non-safety toe) footwear electrical hazard (EH) resistance.

Speed Lace System

Our special hardware allows you to tighten from toe to top with one swift tug for a secure, tight fit.

90º heel

Added safety for boots used on steep terrain, climbing in and out of equipment, and use with certain tools.

Danner Trailguard

Lightweight and supportive, the Trailguard TPU shank provides stability and underfoot protection on rough, uneven terrain.

How It Fits

This boot is built on our DT5H last. This last provides an athletic fit designed with a narrower heel and a lower volume fore- and mid- foot to specifically fit the shape of women’s feet. The sleek, streamlined last is excellent for on or off trail hiking.
